HERO ERA Table Top Rally providing virtual competition and NHS contributions
In the absence of classic rally action, competitors and enthusiasts alike are taking advantage of the HERO ERA Table Top Rally competition to test their navigational abilities and contribute to the ‘NHS Charities Together’ fund at the same time.
190 competitors who have so far taken on the navigational challenges have found the game to be good practice, ready for when everyone comes out safely on the other side and resumes competition. The entry numbers are growing on a daily basis, which means the contributions to the NHS are so far in excess of 3k and rising.
There are six weekly competitions with an individual entry of £5. Alternatively the cost of entering the HERO ERA Table Top Rally Championship of all six events is £30 with prizes and the overall championship trophy up for grabs. Devised by top driver and navigator, sisters Seren and Elise Whyte, part of the tasks involves plotting regularities and working out the answer in which the entrant has seven days to respond and send in.
All proceeds are going to the ‘NHS Charities Together’ fund as part of the community of vintage and classic rallying’s contribution to the virus fighting fund.
Patrick Burke, M.D. HERO ERA Events; “The classic and vintage rally community are as determined as the rest of the motor sport sector to play a part, no matter how large or small, in the fight against this deadly virus. We are working on other fund raising and help programmes that will hopefully engage the classic rally community as the Table Top Rally has managed so far. This is an open call to anyone who is motivated to help by taking part in the game. The H2H initiatives will help all of us help others. ”
