Founding team member of Bicester Heritage joins HERO-ERA
As one of the original founding team members of Bicester Heritage, now Bicester Motion, Tiggy Atkinson has been instrumental in building its hugely successful events business together with making a big contribution to the wider development of the site since 2013. Tiggy is now joining HERO-ERA in an exciting new role as Director of Memberships on 1st December.
Heritage motoring and events specialist Tiggy Atkinson to add her skills to world’s foremost classic and vintage rally company as new Director of MembershipsThis new key role has been created to manage and develop the growth of HERO-ERA’s expanding memberships where Tiggy Atkinson will be implementing significant new plans to extend HERO-ERA Club offerings. Part of her task will be to strengthen all membership categories and engage new members as well as encouraging more in the historic rally community to enjoy a deeper offering and competition. Tiggy will work closely with other HERO-ERA Heads of Department and Directors, M.D. Patrick Burke and Chairman Tomas de Vargas Machuca who commented;

She has played an important role in the success of Bicester Heritage and now we are indeed fortunate that her complementary and varied talents will be brought to this new role working with myself and Patrick to ensure we have a growing and strengthened membership that attracts people of all walks of life to what we do. Tiggy will also be the perfect person to manage the many aspects of our partnership with Bicester Heritage and the various activities we intend to entertain on and off site.”
Tiggy Atkinson leaves her post as Brand Ambassador for Bicester Heritage with the support of Bicester Motion CEO Daniel Geoghegan who said; “With the growing role and her leadership in establishing our very successful events business which she ran from the very first Bicester Scramble culminating in the award-nominated Super Scramble in 2019, Tiggy quickly became a vital and highly respected part of the team. Since then we have been delighted to have Tiggy’s unflinching support, input and drive. We will be sad to see her move on but she leaves with our full support and best wishes for this exciting new role and we look forward to working with her on partnership opportunities.”
A keen vintage rally competitor herself, she recently took part in the HERO Challenge Two in a 1931 Austin 10 and competes in the family 1971 Mini Cooper S when she can. Tiggy is also one of the founding members of the Driven Collective, a female led initiative established to encourage more women into the classic motoring sector. This diverse group includes woman from all walks of the motoring world: Engineers, Mechanics, Sales, Logistics, Photography, Brand owners, Racing drivers, Journalists, Collectors, PR & Marketing and Directors, who all commit to leading by example. Tiggy looks forward to introducing the group to historic road rallying.
Following her successful contribution to the current thriving Bicester Motion business, Tiggy is now focused on her new role with HERO-ERA as she said; “ I am very proud of the part that I have played in establishing Bicester Heritage and I look forward to watching the continued growth and success of the site.
