Do you want to enjoy the scenic route of the Flying Scotsman in your vintage car, but want to skip the regularity sections? Enter the Flying Scotsman LITE; which is designed to avoid the regularity sections entirely, where possible, whilst still providing the same high quality vintage motoring experience. Tests are still tackled, if crews would like to.

Event Schedule
Scrutineering, Documentation & Prologue - 23 April 2026
Scrutineering and Documentation sessions will take place late Thursday morning and early afternoon, before the action kicks off with the Prologue in the late afternoon. A popular introduction in 2025, the format will be the same to ensure crews return in good time for the Welcome Dinner.

08:00 to 17:00 | Gleneagles - Aberdeen - 24 April 2026
Friday morning is an earlyish start for some as the first cars leave Gleneagles and begin their journey north; the action starts almost straight away as the competitive element begins. A succession of Regularities and Tests take crews in a north-easterly direction as the route runs its way along the very southern parts of the Cairngorms tackling some old favourites of previous Scotsman Rallies and LEJOGs along the way, as we head to the overnight halt in the Aberdeen area.

08:00 to 17:00 | Aberdeen - Inverness - 25 April 2026
Leaving Aberdeen, we head further north traveling through sections made famous by the Granite City Rally, once part of the National Rally Championship; the weather then as now was always unpredictable - it could be sunny, it could be snowy or it could be both on the same day! With climbs and remote roads to tackle, on paper it may look like an easy day but it'll be one to keep crews occupied as we head to our overnight hotel close to Inverness

08:00 to 15:40 | Inverness - Gleneagles - 26 April 2026
The journey south begins as we head towards the finish line, and we continue south, via some entertaining sections through some of the most stunning Scottish Scenery to keep up the pressure on both driver and navigator. Crews will loop around the northern fringes of the Cairngorms where the changeable weather could once again play its part in the results, before the familiar town of Crieff appears and the Piper welcomes us once again to the champagne finish at Gleneagles.
