HERO Challenge One will start and finish on the outskirts of Basingstoke. Crews will navigate a carefully crafted route featuring some of the most scenic and challenging roads the area has to offer, an area new to the HERO Challenge series, blending the thrill of competition with the beauty of the Southern British landscape. With tests planned at a venue that’s new to HERO it is not new to Motorsport and offers a maze of tracks to use for tests including roads previously used on the British Rally Championship.

The event will follow the normal format for a HERO Challenge with scrutineering on the Friday afternoon and evening. Saturday morning will see competitors departing for a full day’s competition in and around the Hampshire area before heading back to Rally HQ for the finish and prize giving.

Event Schedule

Day 0

Scrutineering & Documentation - 19th March 2027

Scrutineering and Documentation is scheduled, as usual, on Friday afternoon/early evening allowing crews plenty of time to travel.

Rally Day

Rally Day - 20th March 2027

The competition starts quickly, with a regularity just around the corner from MTC 1, followed promptly by a brace of Tests, in a brand-new test venue, Rushmoor Arena. We then follow up with a short transit into a Regularity, heading north through the Forest of Eversley, before a much-needed coffee halt in Arborfield Cross. After this brief refreshment stop, it's straight back to it with a more Regularities, heading back south through the Forest of Eversley, and Tests to navigate before stopping for a well-deserved lunch at Lasham Gilding Club. After lunch, hopefully with some plane spotting, the competition goes up a gear as we head into the South Downs National Park, passing the home of Jane Austin, with a number of Regularities heading back towards Farnham, before the final, long, test of the day and a run to the final MTC, dinner and the awards presentation.
